Funding opportunity to attend the 2017 Youth Arctic Forum in Archangel, Russia

The Carmel Institute is sponsoring a limited number of round trip airline tickets for currently-enrolled undergraduate or graduate students 20-35 years old to travel to the 2017 Youth Arctic Forum in Archangel, Russia from March 27 to April 2, 2017. Please see the details in the attached flyer.

Students must already hold a valid passport to attend. Attendees will only be responsible for visa fees. The Carmel Institute will provide airfare, while the forum organizers will defray all travel during the forum plus room and board costs in Russia.

Gilman Early SU17 Awards Announced, Current Application Open

Early Application Summer 2017 Gilman Awards Announced!

The U.S. Department of State's Gilman International Scholarship Program is pleased to announce the awards offered to U.S. undergraduates who applied early for Summer 2017. The Gilman Scholarship Program reviewed over 800 early applications for summer programs, and nearly 300 outstanding students were offered awards to participate in credit-bearing study abroad programs and career-oriented internships in countries all around the world.

The University Fellowships Office is hosting a week of events featuring scholarships and fellowships for students from nontraditional and diverse backgrounds. Please join us for any session that interests you, even if you need to arrive late or leave early.

Amgen Scholars Summer Research Program

The Amgen Scholars Program provides hundreds of selected undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in a hands-on research experience at many of the world's leading educational institutions. The Program seeks to increase learning and networking opportunities for students committed to pursuing science or engineering careers and to spark the interest and broaden the perspective of students considering scientific careers. Ultimately, the Program aims to increase the number of students pursuing advanced training and careers in the sciences.

Foreign Language & Area Studies Info Sessions

 

The Center for Global Studies is pleased to announce the competition for FLAS Fellowships for the Pennsylvania State University. FLAS Fellowships are authorized under Title VI of the Higher Education Act and are administered by the U.S. Department of Education. They assist students in achieving competency in selected foreign languages and conducting research in related international and area studies.
